The PCSA or PCPA shall approve or deny the relative or nonrelative placement and provide him or her with written notification of the approval or denial no later than thirty days from the date that the assessment was initiated, or the child was placed, whichever comes first

Just clarification if this 30 day time frame is for assessment of any relative (regardless of if the child is placed with them or not) or just for a relative that has a child placed with them. Wondering because it takes a significant amount of time to get information back from some entities and it frequently goes beyond the 30 days for a full assessment of a relative. We get the initial safety and background checks done within the 30 days for a relative the child is placed with.
